Daan is very practical and loves dealing with challenging issues on Legal Tech, AI and IP rights.
Before joining Marxman, Daan gained experience as an in-house lawyer at a (marketing) software company. There, he already gained some practical experience when it comes to ICT contracts and software.
In addition to his work for team commercial contracts, Daan is also active within team restructuring & insolvency.
Daan completed the dual study of Law & Management at Radboud University Nijmegen. Thus, the Master Innovation & Entrepreneurship fits well with relevant developments in Legal Tech.
He wrote his law thesis on the liability of search engines for generating search suggestions through an Autocomplete function.
In addition to his work at Marxman, Daan is also a member of the objection advisory committee of the municipality of Deventer and is involved in his football club as a director in the role of secretary.
