Mariska works as a lawyer within the restructuring & insolvency section. She focuses on (tax) reorganisation processes, reorganisations under the Dutch Homologation Private Agreement Act (WHOA) and restructurings.
Before joining the firm, Mariska worked at an advisory and accountancy organisation, providing entrepreneurs with broad advice. Mariska likes to stand next to the entrepreneur, think along about strategy and loves high-quality, future-proof and practical solutions.
Mariska particularly assists medium-sized SME entrepreneurs who find themselves, or threaten to find themselves, in a (financially) problematic situation. She advises clients and, if necessary, litigates for them, particularly in the field of insolvency law, restructuring and corporate law.
Mariska has also previously been regularly appointed receiver. As a result, she has the necessary experience and knowledge of insolvency law. Within the Insolvency & Restructuring team, Mariska frequently deals with (forced) agreements, whether or not in the context of the WHOA. She frequently works in a multidisciplinary context with other Marxman teams and external expert parties.
