From Monday 1 February 2021, Pieter Verloop will strengthen Marxman's Corporate Law section.
Pieter Verloop (1986) has gained experience within corporate law as a corporate lawyer since 2011 and as a lawyer since 2015. Since 2015, Pieter has run a combined practice within this area of law, focusing on (corporate) litigation as well as mergers and acquisitions. Pieter has extensive experience in the field of acquisitions (venture capital / private equity), corporate governance and other corporate law issues. In addition, Pieter has assisted in various shareholder disputes.
"To understand the details of both an acquisition and a dispute, it is important to understand who the parties are and what drives them. Only then can you work towards a successful conclusion, whether that means a settlement, successful proceedings or a seamlessly completed transaction. I therefore like to stand alongside my clients as a pilot, preferably as early as possible. With my knowledge of disputes, I know where things can go wrong, while my transactional practice keeps me on my toes to spot whether a transaction, agreement or (group) structure stands like a house."
Pieter is down-to-earth, analytical and not easily swayed. In his work, Pieter enjoys collaborating with colleagues and other advisers.
In his spare time, he can often be found in or on the water; swimming and sailing are two of his passions.
Pieter Verloop is registered in the Register of Jurisdictions of the Dutch Bar Association with the main area of practice of Corporate Law.
