Last Friday was the official launch of the independent knowledge platform AllesOverWHOA, an initiative of the Knowledge Platform WHOA Foundation. Marxman Advocaten is one of the partners and co-initiator of this foundation.
"The time was ripe for an independent knowledge platform where experts share their knowledge and experience on how the Homologation Private Agreement Act works in practice," says Bas Besseling. Bas, a member of the executive board of Marxman Advocaten, is himself a highly experienced lawyer and restructuring expert. He was a trustee and administrator for many years and has devoted himself to advising and assisting in reorganising companies. "In a reorganisation, you work together with professionals with different knowledge and experience. With only broad legal knowledge and experience plus specialist knowledge in bankruptcy law, you won't make it." he argues. "More is needed. Think banking, finance, business and business economics knowledge, but also expertise in valuation, ICT, IP and so on."
The platform is an initiative to increase awareness and effectiveness of the new legislation. It is an independent non-profit platform. A place where all stakeholders can find current and the information relevant to them and contribute if they wish.
